Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person. Scary stuff.

With this monstrous tutorial we are going to realize the drawing of a vampire starting from scratch. Let's see how to do it.

With this tutorial I will focus more on the detail of the scene and the tricks to obtaining a scary looking figure instead of going through all the motion to draw the basic face of the vampire. There are various tutorials on this website to learn the basics of how to draw a face.

 

So we'll lay down just a few basic construction lines to delineate the face and the basic facial features and we'll quickly move on onto the next step.

Vampire drawings - Complete the outline

 

Once it is done use the guidelines to start positioning the facial features, eyes, nose, ears, eyebrows and so on. We'll drawing a screaming or hissing vampire so try to draw an open mouth.

 

The idea here is to draw a vampire looking at us from the drawing with the shoulders slightly tilted away from us.

Once these element are established spend a few time detailing them. Draw the eyes, the hairs etc and bring the whole drawing to a reasonable level of detail. We'll be start painting it in the next page!
