This month contest is:
Invent and draw your superhero!
by Vincenzo
Now, if you are happy with the drawing so far, is time to start adding a few details here and there. Work at the whole drawing and do not focus yet on any specific part.
Start refining the gloves and socks and work a bit the area of the face to round those straight lines we used to create the shapes of the eyes and mouth.
Add the ears now if you want but it is not necessary, you can add them later on.

| It is assumed that Sonic can control the strength or hardness of his quills. They appear to be extremely hard when he is in spinball form, capable of shredding through several layers of reinforced steel to just about anything, with enough speed, but soft when he is not in ball form. |
Now you should have already a good drawing with all the parts in place. Take time to review it again for proportions and small mistakes. It doesn't have to be perfectly identical to the original, on the contrary! Try to inject your art and originality in it.

Well, there you have it! Keep working at the details now and refine the drawing in all its parts. He is a bit angry, isn't he?
Anyway, you have to define the curvature of the arms and legs and make sure there is continuity between the body and limbs.
As you see I did three fingers instead of four. I figured a finger less would have made the little fellow even faster! Just kidding.
Work on the face as well and use a pencil 2B to redefine the contours to increase the contrast of the drawing.
For the next and last step I have imported the image in Illustrator (but you can use a free drawing software similar to it if you do not have Illustrator) and digitally inked the Sonic.

And this is the final result. You did a great work congratulations! I'd love to hear if you enjoyed this tutorial and if it has been useful to you at all.
