When the passion for drawing strikes you can not hold yourself.
You HAVE to draw. You have to paint, scribble, mark, and smudge. it's like an inner force that can't be controlled.
And you use whatever is around. An old HB pencil, a ball-point blue pen, an inked feather.
Id doesn't matter. When the fever of drawing owns you, you MUST act. We search for a white page, a scrap of paper, a sheet, a papyrus whatever drawing supplies come in handy and you start drawing.
My point here is that, when you start drawing as a kid you do not really care about tools. When you grow up and you still feel this passion inside you, this driving (drawing) force that requires prompt action, tools definitely come in second or third place in your artistic priorities
However, if you are serious about art, very soon you come to realize that you need to invest into art material and drawing supplies. You discover that pro artists know everything about materials and tools. They know where and who produces them. Often they buy their supplies from overseas or from a mysterious art shop that is impossible to find on the map!
Art supplies are a critical asset for an artist and it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a pro amateur (I assume that if you are a pro you already know everything about art supplies) getting to know the material you use is a fundamental step toward the production of decent art.
Within this section we'll collect articles and advices to choose your supplies wisely to maximize effectiveness and possibly not breaking the bank in the process of creating a decent artwork.
