Cows are funny animals, aren't they? Well a cartoon cow it's even funnier if you are able to capture in a drawing the kind of characters of these animals. In this tutorial you'll learn how to draw a funny and simple cartoon cow in a few steps. Let's get started.

 

Cartoon Cow drawings - Let's get started!

 

As usual we'll start our drawing by defining the main shapes and forms of it. In this case the body (green) and the head (red) of our cartoon cow.

 

Pretty simple so far. Also sketch in the four small legs (blue) that in order to emphasize the weight of the cow are going to be really small and thin.

 

The horizontal line in the cow head is the line that we'll use to draw the upper eyelids.

Once these three big areas are defined we can start add a few crucial details. These are the eyes of the cow in a very upward position on the head; the mammary gland; the legs(just detailed a little bit better).

 

The expression of the eye is rather important. It's going to be funny if draw them sleepy for example as the typical expression of a cow!

Before moving on let's add the snout that is extremely large in this representation of the cow face, and the tail of the cow.
