Let's get to know Lucia
My name is Lucia and I am an artist, full time painter and illustrator of children books.
I am born and bred in Livorno, Tuscany, where bushes smell of rosemary and saltiness and I moved in Brisbane, Australia, in 2006. Now I have a possum family living in my garage!
Since 2007 I paint and sell my artworks mainly in Australia, United States and Europe.
My first two children books have been released in 2009:

How do you get your painting done?
Getting your painting is very simple, just follow these steps:
Contact me and tell me what you want
You can contact me using the contact form at the end of this page and tell me if you have an idea for your painting or you want me to create something completely original for you.
If you prefer, you can just tell me something that you would want to see in the painting and I'll take care of the rest.
Tell me the specifics
You also need to tell me the size of the painting and the overall color palette of the painting (for example if you want the red to dominate or the green, or a combination of your favorite colors).
The price of the painting will be determined according to the size. You can easily determine the price for the painting from the tab just at the bottom of this page. Price will be determined on a "per painting" base if you want a custom canvas size. Use the currency converter wdget to calculate the price of the painting if you live in a country where the currency is not the USD.
Preparatory sketches
Once I have these info, I will make a few preparatory B/W sketches and send them to you, at no charge. You can have a look at them and decide if you want the painting. This is a dinamic process, you can ask me modifications at this stage and I will incorporate them in the preparatory sketches.
When you are happy with the sketches, I'll send you a contract for the painting. The contract is a very simple agreement among us stating that you will pay me 50% of the final price in advance and the remaining 50% when the painting is finished.
Keep in mind I will send you a picture of the finished painting through email before sending the actual real thing to you.
Payment is easy as I accept PayPal, credit card through PayPal or direct deposit on my Bank Account.
Approval
When the painting is finished I'll send you a picture of it by email for your approval.
At this stage, if you want, you can still request very small modifications and you'll be requested to pay for the painting and, as soon as the payment is cleared, I'll send the painting to you.
Your personal painting will be shipped by express delivery, rolled in a tube or framed, to the address you have provided in the contact form.
Delivery
Delivery is included in the cost of painting so no hassle there or difficult calculations to be made. I use Australia Post which is reliable and not expensive to send the paintings and I send all around the World. So even if you are on the other side of the globe do not worry, my paintings can reach you :)
Keep in mind, however, that if you want a custom canvas size larger than the default ones I will send you the canvas rolled in a tube and you will have to frame it yourself.
The default sizes will be delivered already stretched on streching bars and ready to hang!

What do you get?
Well if you chose one of the standard sizes I'll send you the painting on a stretched canvas, without frame and ready to hang. If you choose a different size I will send the painting on a rolled canvas and you'll have to stretch or frame it.
